Shard Capital appoints new COO and Head of Sales and Business Development

Shard Capital is pleased to announce the expansion of its senior team with the appointments of Martin Bradbrook as Chief Operating Officer and Richard Bacon as Head of Sales and Business Development.

Martin has extensive experience in business transformation within wealth management having worked at Dolfin Financial as Head of Operations and IT for the last six years, overseeing the development of their back and middle office and supporting the growth strategy of the business.

Prior to this Martin worked at Deutsche Bank in London, working in credit structuring and correlation trading for seven years. Earlier in his career, Martin worked in Risk, Regulatory and Transformation Projects for JP Morgan and Mitsubishi UFJ. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Manchester.

As COO, Martin will lead the transformation strategy focused on optimising Shard Capitals’s internal operational processes as well as enhancing connectivity and CX with clients and prospects.

Richard Bacon has over 15 years’ experience in selling financial products and most recently was Vice President at PIMCO where he was responsible for shaping and implementing the sales strategy for the UK business.

Prior to PIMCO, Richard spent 12 years at Jupiter Asset Management, rising through the ranks to become an IMC qualified Business Development Manager in the UK Wealth Management team. His focus was driving sales with wealth managers and private offices whilst also building and developing his team. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Oxford Brookes University.

In this new role, Richard will secure new opportunities while continuing to deliver the highest quality of service to clients.

The appointments follow the launch of Shard Capital’s new wealth management offering, LeifBridge Investment Services. Aimed specifically at US expatriates living overseas, the service seeks to assist clients in effectively managing their wealth by integrating all aspects of global, multi-asset investing with the ability to navigate the complexities of cross-border taxation.
