ECO (ATLANTIC) INTERPRETS TULLOW OIL FARM OUT AS “EXTREMELY POSITIVE”

LONDON (Alliance News) – AIM-listed oil & gas company Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd said on Thursday it has noted fellow oil & gas company Tullow Oil PLC farming out 30% of its 65% interest in licence PEL0037 located offshore Namibia in the Walvis Basin to Oil & Gas Corp of India.

Eco said it and the industry’s interpretation is “extremely positive” as it validates the attractive oil potential of the Walvis Basin, and confirms Tullow’s drilling program is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018, as well as refocusing interest on a number of high impact wells in the basin.

Eco currently owns Walvis Basin blocks 030, 033, 034 and 050.

Shares In Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas were up 1.3% at 17.48 pence, while Tullow Oil was down 0.8% at 156.00 pence on Thursday.
